How we build it properly.
The finish looks great on day one, but it is the preparation underneath that decides how it performs for years. Our approach is straightforward, tidy and built around proper groundworks.
Site visit & advice
We look at access, levels, existing surfaces and drainage. You get clear recommendations and options that suit the property.
Excavation & removal
Old materials are lifted and removed. We excavate to the correct depth to suit the finish and expected use.
Hardcore sub-base
A suitable hardcore sub-base is installed in layers and compacted properly — the foundation for a long-lasting job.
Drainage & edging
Falls are set, channel drains/soakaways installed where needed, and strong edging is put in to keep everything tight.
Finish & tidy clean-up
Tarmacadam, cobblelock, gravel, porcelain or paving is installed to a high standard, then the site is left clean and tidy.
